What is CCAP?

• CCAP provides financial assistance to help families living in Seattle with the cost of licensed child care for children under the age of 13.
• Assistance amounts are calculated using family size, income, hours of care needed, and age of the child(ren).​
• Each CCAP eligible child receives a voucher that authorizes monthly payments to a CCAP approved child care provider.​​
• CCAP vouchers can help pay for full-time, part-time, or before/after school care.​
• CCAP supports families with a variety of child care needs, including families with parents/guardians who are employed, seeking employment, attending school, or otherwise in need of child care.

How Do I Apply?

The first step is a quick online pre-check for eligibility. If you appear eligible you will be able to continue with the CCAP application online. The pre-check and application can be translated by selecting a preferred language from the top of the webpage. DEEL staff can also assist if you are unable to complete the application online. You will need to submit documentation verifying the information listed below and may be asked to submit additional information depending on your circumstance.

1. Date of birth for each child needing care​
2. Your address
3. Your family's total gross income (pre-tax)

CCAP issues vouchers to CCAP approved licensed child care programs. You will need to confirm your provider(s) can accept CCAP payments. If you don't already have a provider, use this map to search for a CCAP provider that meets your family's needs and has availability for your child(ren). An application can be approved before you have a provider however no CCAP payments can be issued until a provider is selected and a start date is confirmed.
