Thank you for your interest in the Seattle Childcare Assistance Program
- The CCAP subsidy typically pays between 25% to 70% of the average childcare provider's rate.
- Families’ subsidies are calculated using family size, family income, the hours of care needed for a child, and age of the child.
- A family applying to CCAP receives one voucher for each individual child in care. The CCAP voucher authorizes monthly childcare payments to an approved childcare program.
- The voucher can be used for full-time, part-time, or before/after school care.
- Vouchers are authorized for 12 months; vouchers for student parents will be authorized for three months at a time, pending course schedules.
What information do I need to gather to apply for CCAP?
After you've been screened for basic eligibility, you will need to
identify a CCAP provider who works with your schedule and has availability for your child(ren). You will also need to submit documentation to verify the following information:
- Your child's age
- Your address
- Your family's gross (pre-tax) income
- The hours of care needed
Documents acceptable for demonstrating these requirements are detailed below.
